What the Hertie School is doing to make your return safe and successful
The Hertie School is pleased to welcome students back for the 2020/21 Academic Year. Together, we all share the responsibility for keeping our community safe and healthy. So to ensure you stay safe, find what you need and get off to a successful start, we’ve set up a number of rules and measures for daily operations, which are outlined below. Check out the more detailed pages of our website for further information. Here are a few tips to get you started:
Your safety comes first - and Student Life is here to help. Reach out to Student Life for answers to all your questions - and be sure to let them know if you aren’t feeling well. Get help with visas, residence permits, COVID-19 regulations, health insurance, housing and more.
Onsite teaching with social distancing. We are committed to onsite teaching for our students in Berlin – adhering to social distancing rules. We’ve taken a number of measures to ensure your safety: sign-up sheets for study and reading rooms, separating desks in classrooms and other rooms. You’ll find everything you need to know about onsite classes on Moodle.
Study from home. Our Digital Learning Team and IT have developed learning tools, trained faculty and assistants and outfitted our classrooms with the technology for remote learning. A combination of pre-recorded and live classes will accommodate different time zones, as will labs. You’ll find everything you need to know about online classes on Moodle.
